It was a mixed bag for voters in Marshall County, Tuesday night.
Ballots from all of the voting precincts were finalized Tuesday evening for the City of Plymouth, and for the Towns of Culver and Argos.
A Marshall County resident continues to press the County Commissioners about available road funding in their fiscal year budget.

Ancilla College is adding three new degree programs next year. Students will be able to study sports management, hospitality and tourism and culinary arts management. The new offerings will bring the total number of two-year degree programs at the private, liberal arts school to 21. Continue reading

Voters head to the polls today in Marshall County to weigh-in on several contested races.
In the Town of Argos, Lisa Mullaney (R) and Kelli Vanderweele (D) are vying for the Clerk-Treasurer’s seat. Voters in Argos will also be able to select three candidates from a list of four to serve on the Town Council, including: Craig Ellis (R), Charles Snead (R), Juli Stauffer (R), and Dustin Johnson (D).
A laborious negotiating process has led to the approval of a contract between CenturyLink and the Marshall County government.
During Monday morning’s Marshall County Commissioners meeting, an E911 contract was reviewed. The county has been working with CenturyLink on a 24 month contract to help provide infrastructure for E911 services.

The Plymouth Community School Corporation is using a legal tactic to help them finance future renovations to several of its facilities.
The $2-million project will expand seating at the athletic complex and upgrade restrooms and ticket offices. Construction will also provide more space for meetings and file storage at the School Corporation’s Administration Building.

The Culver Union Township Public Library is attempting to purchase a potentially life-saving device for their facility.
According to information provided by officials with the library, their fundraising arm: Friends of the Library approached them about possibly buying an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED.
It’s time to “fall back in the fall.” Dayling Saving Time ends early tomorrow (Sunday) morning, so be sure to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night. State Fire Marshal Jim Greeson says it’s also a good time to change batteries in smoke alarms and remove dust from the front of the devices.
