Graveside services for 88-year-old Joyce A. Brucker, of Plymouth will be Thursday, September 28 at 2 p.m. ET at the Morris Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, September 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET at the Rannells Funeral Home Koontz Lake Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to Marshall County Humane Society.

Daniel E. Spencer

Memorial services for Daniel E. Spencer, 37, of Donaldson, will be Friday, September 29 at 1 p.m. ET at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, with a gathering of family and friends there one hour prior to services.

Jack Holm

Jack Holm, 98, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, September 1, 2023.

He was born in Grovertown, Indiana on September 16, 1924, the son of Delbert and Eva (Marsh) Holm. He graduated from Grovertown High School, where he excelled in baseball and basketball. During World War II, he served in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer aboard the USS Passaconaway. He was a past Commander of the American Legion Post 27 and a VFW member.

Kathy (Malone) Goodan

Mary Katherinette (Malone) Goodan, 85, died June 28, 2023, at Logan Health Shelby of natural causes. She was born September 21, 1937, in Conway, South Carolina to Nora and Jesse Malone, Sr. The family moved to Choteau, Montana when she was 1 year old. She grew up on the Flying U Ranch, north of Choteau. She attended grade school in Bynum and high school in Choteau. She earned a degree in art and home economics at MSU-Bozeman.

Katherinette began teaching school in Belt, MT in 1959. There she met and married Edward A. Goodan in 1961, at which time she stopped teaching to raise a family. Together she and Ed had three children, Gary, Elaine and Anita. Continue reading

Dr. Georgette Eberling Samuelson

Dr. Georgette Eberling Samuelson passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center on Saturday April 15, 2023. She was born July 27, 1948, to Alfred and Beatrice Eberling in Staten Island, New York. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at an early age and would go to the Staten Island Zoo where she met and was encouraged by their female veterinarian. That encouraged her to believe in the power of women to accomplish anything. In line with this strong spirit, she decided to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine at a time when it was a male dominated field. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1973 from Michigan State University as one of only a handful of women in the class.
