The Marshall County 4-H fair will feature a beautiful baby contest this year sponsored by Saint Joseph Health System Plymouth Medical Center. Little ones ranging from new born babies to 2 year old toddlers can be entered in the contest on Monday, July 13 at the Marshall County 4-H fairgrounds in Argos.

The Marshall County Commissioners will receive a quarterly report from the Emergency Management Agency at their meeting, Monday.
EMA Director Clyde Avery will be providing a monthly report to the commissioners. Recent storms in the Marshall County area coincide with the report – which will allow Avery to expand on any damages seen in Marshall County.
The Lakehouse Grille in Culver is undergoing a major addition and renovation.
For several weeks, the restaurant has made investments in banquet rooms and outdoor dining space. During the Culver Town Council meeting on Tuesday night, members considered a proposal to remove a U-Turn sign that is apparently blocking sight of the restaurant.

Rooms in the new Ancilla College residence hall are still available but Executive Director of Admissions Eric Wignall advises students not to hesitate because there are only a limited number of rooms available. This year marks a celebration of a full century of Plymouth women coming together to enrich the community in areas of education, culture and charity. Tri Kappa has continuously provided community service over the years at little or no public expense.
The Culver Schools Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for tonight at 7:00 [EST] will take place in the administrative office located at 700 School Street. The 2015/16 handbooks for the elementary, middle and highschools for the are in need of approval. An update about the title 1 grant is set to be discussed during tonight’s meeting as well as 2015/16 breakfast and lunch prices. Contract pay date clarifications for both the 2014/15 and 2015/16 school years is another one of the action items the board will cover during the meeting this evening.
Ancilla College has signed an agreement with St. Joseph College that can allow students to transfer credits.
The two colleges are members of the Northern Indiana Catholic College Consortium and allows St. Joseph’s College to work with Ancilla students when attempting to complete an associates degree or four-year degree.

Plymouth officials will celebrate the grand opening of the first phase of an all-inclusive playground next week. Freedom Park is located at Packard Woods. A committee has been working with the city’s park department for several years to develop a playground for children and adults of all abilities.
Culver is nearing a decision on the fluoridation of its water supply.
The Town Council briefly touched on upgrades to its water treatment facility during a Tuesday meeting. The Town hosted a meeting with investors recently prior to a bond issuance that’s expected to fund a large portion of the upgrades.

The Culver Town Council may have to go back to the drawing board for work to the Town Hall’s Roof.
The Town accepted bids to upgrade the roof at the Town Hall as well as a second building. Work to the Town Hall was stopped, however, because the bid did not include the price of labor.

The Culver Park Department is gearing up for new activities available on the water this summer.
The Town entered into an agreement earlier this year to provide Kayak and Paddleboard rentals for the season. After going through a bid process, Sail22 has been able to provide the equipment needed to participate.
