The student meal cost for breakfast and lunch at all Plymouth Community Schools will remain the same as last year. Breakfast is offered daily and costs $1.10 for all students. The candidate list is inching closer to finalization for Towns hosting conventions in Marshall County.
According to information released by the Marshall County Clerk’s office, several Towns have competitive races – while others simply have candidates registered.
Plymouth Signage Changes Locations Slightly, Work to Begin Soon
Gateway signage for the City of Plymouth will be moved slightly.
During a meeting last month, the Plymouth Board of Works approved a memorandum of understanding with Marshall County to place a sign welcoming visitors to Plymouth in the roundabout at Michigan Road and Veteran’s Parkway.

Culver Town Council Authorizes CRC Bond Issuance for Storm Water Work
The Town of Culver has authorized work to its storm water system, but it’s going to take a bit of financing to complete.
During Tuesday night’s Culver Town Council meeting, two resolutions were considered to help move the work along. Financing monies would be used to improve the storm water utility system.

Woman Arrested After Items Stolen From Purse in Wendy’s Bathroom
A Kewanna woman has been arrested following reports that she stole items from a purse at a Wendy’s location in Plymouth.
Officers were called to the fast-food restaurant location around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, but located the suspect in the bathroom. One officer addressed the perpetrator, identified as 37-year-old Anna Price, while the other made contact with the victim.
Two Semi-Trailers Involved in Crash on US 30
A two vehicle crash on US 30 in Marshall County resulted in the loss of payload.
According to information released by Marshall County Police, a Semi carrying a flatbed trailer, and driven by Thomas Prairie of Bourbonnais, Illinois was stopped at a red light at the intersection of US 30 and Queen Road. When the light turned green, the semi-trailer began to accelerate.
Culver One Step Closer to EMS Transition
The Culver Town Council has taken an additional step to establish the Town’s own EMS Department.
Council members have worked for months to improve emergency medical services by moving the Culver-Union Township EMS Department, which is volunteer-based, to a Town service.

The Plymouth Common Council has approved a policy that allows retiring members of the Police Force to take their service weapons home with them.
That ordinance was revised after a long-serving member of the police force retired and requested his weapon be deemed surplus property and gifted to him. A member of the public questioned the legality of doing so.

A traffic stop conducted in Marshall County on Monday led authorities to find an illegally possessed firearm.
Marshall County Police stopped a white Ford Edge, driven by 27-year-old Albert Johnson, on US 31 near 11th Road. Johnson was found to be driving on a suspended license.

Plymouth Man Arrested for Sunday Morning Strangulation Incident
A Plymouth man has been arrested after Police say he strangled an individual who eventually reported the incident.
Officers got the call around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, but were apparently unaware of what had occurred. The Plymouth Police Department said there was a language barrier that prevented an understanding of the call.
