Plymouth Football Honors Teammate, Plays Through Adversity

Culver Unsafe Building Ordinance Going to Public Hearing in October
Culver continues work to bring Town policy into alignment with a recently adopted Marshall County ordinance.
During Tuesday night’s Culver Town Council meeting, Attorney Jim Clevenger provided updates on the development of Culver’s version of the unsafe buildings ordinance. The changes provide that a hearing board will be set-up to remedy problematic situations with property owners in the event a structure is deemed unsafe.

SJHS Plymouth Medical Center Emergency Room Dedicated
The St. Joseph Health System Plymouth Medical Center dedicated a major addition to the hospital on Thursday.
The Daisy and John L. Oliver Emergency Center saw hospital representatives and public elected officials gather for words of encouragement about the future of the facility. The $9-million emergency room was developed with funds from Trinity Health.

Burglary Suspect Found in Plymouth Home Given Prison Time
The partner in a case that occurred in November of last year was sentenced on Wednesday in Marshall County Superior Court.
30-year-old Richard Gee, formerly of South Bend, is alleged to have entered a home with the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine. His partner in the case was sentenced earlier in the year.

Culver Man Sentenced in Reckless Homicide Case
A Culver man was sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty to a charge of Reckless Homicide.
54-year-old Jon McFarland was charged following a Grand Jury indictment from December of 2014. It alleges that on October 12th of that year, McFarland was a driver in an automobile crash that occurred at the intersection of U.S. 31 and State Road 10 near Argos.
Plymouth Man Charged with Theft of a Handugn
A Plymouth man faces a theft of a handgun charge after the weapon was recovered in South Bend following a shooting. Plymouth Police say the gun was stolen from a home in the 1600 block of North Michigan Street on Sept. 8th. Continue reading
