On March 7 at 12:22 p.m. ET, Plymouth Police Department officers and EMS were dispatched to the Economy Inn for a woman not breathing with CPR in progress. Prior to emergency personnel arriving, the caller stated that the woman was breathing.
During the investigation, police say there were several items in plain view commonly associated with the use of narcotics. Once the woman had been removed by EMS to the ambulance, officers spoke with Christopher Yates, 43, of Plymouth.
During this time, several used and loaded syringes were located within the open area, along with baggies and other paraphernalia, according to the report. Yates was subsequently taken into custody and lodged on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a scheduled drug, and possession of syringes.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
