
The Culver Town Council members approved a request during their January 23 meeting from Town Marshal Wayne Bean to extend a conditional offer of full-time employment to Neal Wallace.
The council members also unanimously approved a bid for a street sweeper the town has deemed to sell. They approved a bid from Zehner Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $5,000. Ben Smith was the other bidder with a bid of $750.
The council also voted by a majority vote to approve a bid from Grant Munroe in the amount of $1,600 for a UTV the town has deemed to sell. Councilwoman Ginny Bess Munroe abstained from the vote. The other bidders were Jamie Morrison for $1,277 and Josh Smith for $650.50.
In other business, the council approved a resolution regarding an INDOT agreement for the Community Crossings Matching Grant program project on Lakeshore Drive. The town’s match is $337,270.50 and Utility Superintendent Bob Porter will be the signatory on the project.
