Marshall County Commissioners to Meet Today

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where Sheriff Matt Hassel will discuss the Culver Community School Police Department expanded jurisdiction proposal.

The commissioners will hear from Community Corrections Director Beau Holcomb where he will discuss an agreement with Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. and the 2025 Community Corrections Grant Contract. Council on Aging Executive Director Janis Holiday will have her quarterly report, and Buildings and Grounds Director Billy Schoff will discuss building repairs.

Dave Hostetler from the Marshall County Plan Commission will discuss items with the commissioners, and there will be a Public Safety Committee report.

West Township Trustee Terry Borggren will talk about the Firemen’s Memorial parking lot.

The commissioners will also talk about the 2025 sheriff’s salary contract, American Rescue Plan Act funding, and an amendment to the Plymouth Greenway Trail phases II and III and kayak launch agreement.

Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters, County Attorney Jim Clevenger and Auditor Angie Birchmeier will have regular reports.

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. ET today in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
