Culver Town Councilman Bill Githens announced to the council last week that he will be vacating his seat at the end of December.
He told the council members that he will be moving out of the area and will no longer be able to serve on the council. He has notified Marshall County Republican Party Chairwoman Debbie VanDeMark and Town Attorney Sean Surrisi. A caucus will be scheduled at some point to fill his seat.
Githens has been a town council member since 2019 and previously served on the Marshall County Council.
