Marshall County Commissioners to Meet Today

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where they will look at an ordinance that would amend the zoning map. A public hearing will also be held on a Plan Commission recommendation from a request by JeAnna Burch.

The 2025 Contractual Services Agreement with the Marshall County Extension Office will be presented for approval, and Anna Keitzman and Brent Martin will discuss plans for the Heartland Art Center for READI 2.0 grant funding. Chris Garner from the Neighborhood Center will present an update on operations. The commissioners previously reviewed the remainder of American Rescue Plan Act funds to benefit the rising needs of Marshall County residents.

Sheriff Matt Hassel will have a Memorandum of Understanding with the Blueberry Festival and discuss the Culver Community School Police Department expanded jurisdiction proposal.

Beau Holcomb from Community Corrections will have an agreement for approval from Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. Marshall County Museum Historical Society Executive Director Sandy Garrison and Marshall County Historical Society President Mike Miley.

Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters, County Attorney Jim Clevenger and Auditor Angie Birchmeier will provide regular reports.

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today at 9:30 a.m. CT in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
