Marshall County Commissioners Terminate Burn Ban

The Marshall County Commissioners have terminated the countywide burn ban, effective immediately.

The commissioners put the Burn Ban in place Monday, September 16 due to Marshall County’s placement under moderate drought conditions and extended period with no rainfall. Thanks to this weekend’s rainfall, and the potential for more rain this week, it is now safer to burn.

Regardless of the present weather conditions or burn ban status, exercise caution any time outdoor burning is taking place. Additionally, be courteous to neighbors who are sensitive to smoke.

The Marshall County Commissioners, Marshall County Emergency Management Agency, and local fire departments are grateful to those who respected the burn ban and postponed their burning plans, as well as those who helped spread awareness of the burn ban when it was issued.
