The Marshall County Commissioners opened bids Monday morning for the county’s Community Crossings Matching Grant projects.
An application was submitted to INDOT in January for funds for several projects around the county. The county was awarded the full $1.5 million grant in the state’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program.
E&B Paving submitted a bid of $2,138,274; Milestone Contractors North submitted a bid of $1,901,806.31; and Phend and Brown submitted a bid of $2,199,693.70. The commissioners unanimously approved a motion to take the bids under advisement and will award one at the next meeting.
Several roads will be repaved with the grant funds. Those areas include portions of Nataka Trail, Lawrence Lake Drive, Olive Lane, Easy Street, Elm, Rose, Main, Deer Trail, Golfview, and 9C.
