The Marshall County Commissioners made their appointments to the Marshall County Tourism Commission during their last meeting.
The commissioners conducted interviews of all of the candidates who submitted applications to fill the seats on the newly-established board. The commissioners adopted an ordinance in February which indicates that a seven member board would be created where five members will be appointed by the Marshall County Commissioners, and the Mayor of the City of Plymouth will have two appointees. Those appointed members will populate the Marshall County Tourism Commission.
The commissioners approved the appointments of Angel Balsley and Mark Damore whose terms will end December 31, 2024, along with Brian Teall, Matt Hovermale, and Wyatt Stephan whose terms will end December 31, 2025. Commissioner Michael Burroughs abstained from the approval of the appointment of Matt Hovermale citing a conflict of interest. The others were approved with unanimous votes.
Plymouth Mayor Robert Listenberger has two appointments on the Marshall County Tourism Commission. He recently announced Tracy Houin and Jim Hartung as his appointments.
