Marshall County Commissioners Approve Bid for Community Crossings, Additional Paving Projects

The Marshall County Commissioners approved a bid for Community Crossings projects.

An application was submitted to INDOT in January for funds for several projects around the county. The county was awarded the full $1.5 million grant in the state’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program.

E&B Paving submitted a bid of $2,138,274; Milestone Contractors North submitted a bid of $1,901,806.31; and Phend and Brown submitted a bid of $2,199,693.70.

Marshall County Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters recommended that the commissioners approved the lowest responsible bid submitted by Milestone Contractors North at $1,901,806.31. The commissioners approved that bid.

Several roads will be repaved with the grant funds. Those areas include portions of Nataka Trail, Lawrence Lake Drive, Olive Lane, Easy Street, Elm, Rose, Main, Deer Trail, Golfview, and 9C.
