Officials from the Town of Argos remind residents to register golf carts for 2024.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney said inspections need to be complete once when the golf cart is registered for the first time. After that, residents simply need to comply with the ordinance that requires an annual registration in order to legally operate on the streets of Argos. The registration fee is $40.
Mullaney told MAX News that during the last Argos Town Council meeting Town Attorney Derek Jones said he will be looking into the ordinance that regulates sidewalk safety and if freshly mowed clumps of grass violates a responsibility of the homeowner to keep sidewalks free for the safety of the public, such as snow or other debris. That information will be brought back to the council at the next meeting.
