Plymouth Police Department Arrest Two in Separate Traffic Stops

Officers from the Plymouth Police Department arrested two people in two recent separate traffic stops.

A traffic stop was conducted by a deputy Thursday, March 7 in the area of the Economy Inn in Plymouth as expired license plates were displayed on a red Dodge Journey. A Plymouth officer responded to the traffic stop to assist where police say the vehicle was not appropriately titled or registered to the driver, 29-year-old Sarah Matson-Ewing of South Bend. She was also reportedly found to be operating a vehicle without ever having received a license.

She was arrested on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.

A traffic stop was initiated Sunday, March 10 in the area of U.S. 30 and Oak Drive as the driver was allegedly speeding and the vehicle did not have illuminated headlights. During the traffic stop, police say the driver, 42-year-old Juan Sanroman Duron of Lyons, Illinois, did not have a driver’s license.

He was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.

Formal charges will be determined in each case by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
