Marshall County Commissioners Approves Health Department, Community Corrections and Dustin’s Place Requests

The Marshall County Commissioners approved an out of state travel request for training made by Administrator / Public Health Nurse Sandy Dunfee. She will be attending the Immunization Conference in Philadelphia from April 8 to 11.

The Commissioners also approved the Community Resource Center Lease for the Health Department to remain where they are currently located on a month by month basis in the amount of $3,300 a month. The monthly lease can be cancelled with a written 90 day notice. The Marshall County Health Department is located at 510 W. Adams St., Ground Level. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET.

The Commissioners approved the request made by Director of Marshall County Community Corrections Beau Holcomb to apply for the Community Corrections Justice Reinvestment Grant 2025 in the amount of $489,000. That money funds Community Corrections, the Prosecutor’s Felony Diversion Program and the Drug Court.

The Commissioners also approved the request made by President of Dustin’s Place Board of Directors Dianna Weiss for the Join the Journey 5K Race for May 4, 2024. The route will begin and end at Dustin’s Place located at 11802 Lincoln Highway East, Plymouth. Individuals may register at dustinsplace.org for the Star Wars themed event that helps support grieving families in their grief journey.
