Marshall County Commissioners to Meet Today

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where they will open a public hearing to take comments on the proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance as it pertains to solar energy systems.

A representative from Solential Energy will discuss renewable energy with the commissioners.

The 2024 Purdue Extension contractual services agreement will be presented by Josh Winrotte, and Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters will present the 2024 road program for approval.

Clerk Jenny Bennitt will have a 2023 HAVA Election Security grant agreement for approval, along with discussions on the transfer of assets and security.

The commissioners will also discuss a revised Memorandum of Understanding with Saint Joseph Health System, a Quality Correctional Care agreement, the scope and bidding process for repairs at the Marshall County Jail, and the Emergency Management Agency performance grant agreement for Fiscal Year 2023. The second reading of the Marshall County Tourism ordinance will be considered, and the commissioners will make an appointment to the Culver-Union Township Public Library Board.

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. ET today in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
