Bremen Town Council to Hold Public Hearing on Animal Ordinance

The Bremen Town Council will open a public hearing Monday, March 25 at 6 p.m. ET concerning comments on the animal ordinance.

A resident recently came before the council members to discuss allowing chickens in the incorporated limits of the Town of Bremen and the council will be taking public comment on both sides of the topic. The council members may not make an official decision on the matter that evening, but they will hear public opinions.

The public hearing will be held at the Bremen Town Hall at 111 S. Center Street.

Additionally, the council unanimously approved an amendment to the salary ordinance to adjust the wage for the cemetery foreman. The ordinance was declared an emergency and was approved on all three readings.
