The Marshall County Council members reorganized during their first meeting in 2024 last week.

Jesse Bohannon will remain President and Tim Harman will remain Vice President. Other members include James Masterson, Nicole Cox, Deb Johnson, Will Patterson and Adam Faulstich. Members and leadership remain the same as in 2023.

Jason Peters, Superintendent of the Highway Department, approached the Council regarding the 2024 Community Crossings Grant. The Council approved his request to apply for grant funding for projects totaling $2,188,309. The 75/25 match was raised to a project total $1.5 million. Though the projects went over that amount, the Council did approve support matching funds in the necessary and approximate amount of $547,000 as presented.

There will be a public meeting held Wednesday, January 24th at 9:30 a.m. ET to hear a comprehensive report on the Road Program. That will be held in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
