The Marshall County Council recently approved the 2024 Sheriff’s Contract for a total compensation in the amount of $99,744.84. It was previously approved by the Commissioners.
The fixed compensation is in lieu of the sheriff’s fees he is otherwise entitled to receive as collection fees which would be assigned to the county. The sheriff will also assign all fees from prisoner meal allowances to the county.
He is entitled to medical, retirement, and disability benefits previously established by the county.
Additionally, the council approved the Lebbin Law Agreement for 2024 and the Cender Dalton Financial Consultation Annual Service Agreement for 2024.
