The Culver Town Council members took action to reorganize and make several appointments during their meeting Tuesday, January 9.
A nomination was made to retain Bill Cleavenger as president and no other nominations were made. The council unanimously approved Cleavenger as president. A nomination was made to retain Sally Ricciardi as council vice president and no other nominations were made. The council unanimously approved Ricciardi as vice president.
The council voted to amend the regular meeting date. The Culver Town Council will now meet on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Culver Town Hall.
Additionally, Ginny Munroe, Sally Ricciardi, Marty Oosterbaan, Erika James, and Sara Jones were appointed to the Culver Redevelopment Commission, while Andrew Strati and John Christ were appointed to the Culver Board of Zoning Appeals. Dennis Bottorff, Kevin VanHorn, and Dick Brantingham were appointed to the Culver Tree Commission.
In other news, new Culver Police Department Officer Tracy Owens was introduced to the town council. She was one of two new officers recently hired. Larry Jolley was introduced to the town council during the last meeting in December.
