Plymouth Community School Board Reviews Special Education Agreement

The Plymouth Community School Board members heard from Assistant Superintendent Jill VanDriessche last week regarding the hiring of additional staff in preparation for the corporation joining the Argos and Triton School Sorporations for Special Education programming.

Requirements for the department include the addition of a staff member and also increasing the pay for permanent substitutes.

Additionally, Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter told board members that Plymouth High School will host a Zac Mago Foundation heart screening in the school gym February 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. The screenings will be funded by the Marshall County Health Department and Bowen Center.

In other action, the board named the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. ET as their meeting time for the coming year. That schedule will begin with the first meeting of 2024 on January 9.
