The Marshall County Commissioners heard County Attorney Jim Clevenger’s report during their regular meeting.
The Commissioners were directed to sign the new farm lease that has been signed by William L. Voreis of Voreis Farms in Argos.
There is a public hearing scheduled for the January 16 Commissioner meeting regarding the Marshall County Tourism Board issue.
The Purdue Extension Office Contract for 2024 in the amount of $128,805 has increased 4% since last year. That contract has been tabled until the Commissioner’s meeting on January 2. The Commissioners are required to provide funding to Purdue Extension, there was discussion regarding the lack of a 4-H Educator and the need of the Purdue Extension to meet the requirements of that obligation in the agreement.
