The Marshall County Parks and Recreation Board members were given an update on the well project at Memorial Forest.

Board Secretary Deb VanDeMark said the permit has been approved and the well was scheduled to be put in yesterday (November 10). A new quote was sent for the project. The new quote is $4,400 which is less than the original cost. The board approved to pay this upon project completion.

Additionally, two locks have been purchased for the cabin at the Memorial Forrest.

Cameras need to be ordered for the cabin. RTC had suggested that a two pack stick up cam elite should be purchased to be the cabin’s cameras at a price of $369.99 or $529.99 for a three pack. VanDeMark let the board know that these would need to arrive by this week so they could be installed along with the internet at the cabin.

The board agreed on getting a three pack to either keep the extra camera as a back up or to set up the camera inside the cabin. The board also wanted to make sure that they were getting the right cameras as some of the board members had believed they were wireless.

After discussion, the board approved to allow the purchase of cameras with the maximum purchasing price being $600.

Finally, VanDeMark set up a meeting schedule. Meetings will be held at the Marshall County Building from November to March. From April to October, the meetings will be held at the cabin at Memorial Forest.
