Marshall County Election Board to Hold Hearings on Late Campaign Finance Reports

The Marshall County Election Board members will hold a hearing for those candidates who filed a late campaign finance report.

Board President Ralph “Rick” Huff noted in a Marshall County Election Board meeting Monday afternoon that the candidates have a right to be heard before fine is imposed so he made a motion to withdraw the previously reported fines for Ginny Bess Munroe and Robert Bob Byers which was approved with a unanimous vote.  The hearings will be held Monday, December 4 at 8:30 a.m. ET in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office.

The board also counted mail-in absentee ballots, Travel Board ballots and any emailed ballots that were received before noon ET on Monday.  There were a total of 108 mail-in ballots, 31 Travel Board ballots and 1 emailed ballot.  The results of those ballots will be tabulated today. 

There were 425 in-person early voters in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office, 9 early in-person voters in Argos, 19 in Bourbon and 51 in Culver.
