Bremen Public School Board Adopts 2024 Budget

The Bremen Public School Board members adopted the 2024 budget when they met October 25.

According to the Notice to Taxpayers listing on the Indiana Gateway website, the Referendum Fund is at $514,699, the Debt Service Fund is about $2.5 million, the Education Fund is just under $11 million, and the Operations Fund is about $4.4 million. 


The total advertised budget is $18,524,886. 

The three-year 2024 Capital Projects Plan contains a list of proposed projects that exceed $10,000 that are expected to begin within the three years immediately following the year it was adopted.  The list at Bremen Public Schools includes parking lot resurfacing, sidewalk replacement and other infrastructure repairs, and facility repairs and renovations. 


The 2024 Bus Replacement Plan include the purchase of one new school bus in 2024, two buses in 2025, and one new bus in 2026, 2027 and in 2028. 

The board members took action to adopt the budget, along with resolutions pertaining to the Capital Projects Plan and the Bus Replacement Plan.  The budget will be reviewed by the Department of Local Government Finance with a 1728 notice, or budget approval, with any budget adjustments to come in December.
