The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where they will consider the first reading of an ordinance that would create a moratorium on utility scale battery energy storage systems.
The commissioners will also consider the second reading on an adjustment of fees recommended by the Plan Commission, as well as the first reading of another ordinance concerning fees.
Bids will be opened for an owner-occupied housing rehabilitation project, and Leah Thill from MACOG will discuss a Brownfield Assessment Coalition Grant.
The first reading of an on-site sewage systems ordinance will be considered for approval by the commissioners presented by the Marshall County Health Department.
Human Resources Administrator Jennifer Daake will have an ordinance amendment pertaining to the personnel policies handbook, Ashley Derf from the WIC Office will have a grant agreement for 2024, and the commissioners will consider an appointment to the Culver-Union Township Library Board.
Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters, County Attorney Jim Clevenger, and Auditor Angie Birchmeier will present regular reports.
The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. ET today in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
