The Culver Town Council members will soon be appointing a new Culver-Union Township Library Board member.
All but two members recently resigned amid public outcry over the termination of employment of Esmeralda “Esmie” Rodgers from the Culver-Union Township Public Library.
The Culver-Union Township Public Library has seven appointed board members: three from the Culver Community School Board, one from the Marshall County Commissioners, one from the Marshall County Council, one from the Culver Town Council, and one from the Union Township Trustee.
Those interested in serving on the library board must fill out an application by Wednesday, October 4 by 4 p.m. ET to the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office in the Culver Town Hall Building at 200 E. Washington Street. Candidate interviews will be held Friday, October 6. The council will make an appointment during their next regular meeting Tuesday, October 10.
