Two Arrested in Traffic Stops in Plymouth

Plymouth Police Department officers arrested two people in two different traffic stop incidents last week.

An officer conducted a traffic stop just before 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, September 12 in the area of U.S. 30 east of Michigan Street.  During the course of the traffic stop, the officer reportedly noticed the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  In a search of the vehicle, suspected marijuana was located.  The driver was also allegedly impaired.

The officer identified the driver as 26-year-old Kimberly Bajar of Nappanee. She was with an adult and three juvenile passengers at the time of the traffic stop.

Bajar was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with juvenile passengers present, and possession of marijuana.

In a separate incident, a Plymouth Police Department officer was notified by Marshall County Dispatch that a suspected impaired or unsafe driver was traveling in the area of U.S 30 east of Oak Drive Thursday, September 14 just before 4 a.m. ET.  Police say the driver, 27-year-old Urvaev Nuraaly, of Chicago, never obtained a driver’s license.  He was also reportedly found to be in possession of a legend drug without a U.S. prescription.

Nuraaly was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operator never licensed and possession of a legend drug.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
