Marshall County Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters updated the commissioners on projects during their meeting last week.
Peters said the Elm Road Bridge project was to start Monday, September 25 which is a delayed start. The road will be closed for 60 days. Peters anticipates the road to reopen in November.
Bridge 87 on 11th Road is about 48 percent complete and Bridge 120 on Upas Road is 36 percent complete. Both bridges are on schedule to open in mid-November.
In other work, paving has begun. Workers were set to work on 1st Road last week.
The highway department has completed several miles of chip and seal projects over the summer and reclaimed several miles of roads. Peters said work is being done to get paving done as long as the season holds out and weather stays nice.
