Marshall County Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters reported to the Marshall County Commissioners last week that the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program projects and the additional paving projects for this year have been completed.
This year’s Community Crossings Matching Grant Program projects 10B from State Road 17 to County Line Road, Plymouth-Goshen Trail from City Limits to U.S. 30, and Queen Road from U.S. 30 to 6th Road. Work was done by Rieth-Riley Construction in the amount of $1.4 million.
The additional paving projects included 13th from Pear to Olive Trail, King Road from 12B to south of 11th Road, and Muckshaw from 14th to State Road 10. That work was done by Milestone Contractors North at a cost of $2.6 million.
Peters said the Highway Department’s regular paving schedule will begin this week.
The workers have completed 60 miles of triple seal work so far this year, as well as 50 miles of single seal work.
