The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members received updates on several projects during a recent meeting.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi said there are some delays with the Hoham Drive project.
The overall project includes the widening of Hoham Drive from Michigan Street to a point 260 feet west of Western Avenue. This will allow for a 14-foot, two-way left turn west of Western Avenue and a dedicated eastbound right turn lane at Western Avenue. Curb, gutters and a sidewalk are a part of the project as well.
Surrisi said last week that they are working with NIPSCO with the relocation of gas lines which has caused a delay. However, the hope is to have that portion of the project complete this week.
After the NIPSCO work is complete, Milestone Contractors North workers will then finish the paving portion of the work.
In other updates, Surrisi said there should be some more information from VS Engineering on preliminary design work on the improvements on Commerce Street and Pioneer Drive. The project is anticipated to start in 2024.
Addtionally, Surrisi commented that the streets in the Centennial Crossing project are nearing the point of being dedicated to the City of Plymouth.
