Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet tonight where they will consider requests to decorate the downtown and to close a street for an event.

The board will review a revision to a Memorandum of Understanding at 1619 N. Oak Drive and reports will be given by department heads as necessary.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. ET tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The Plymouth City Council members will consider three ordinances on second and third reading. One ordinance would fix the salaries of appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for the year 2024.  Another ordinance would amend the fee schedule for the Department of Aviation and the third would repeal the dog registration and taxes.

The council members will also look at an additional appropriations resolution, a resolution to create a new fund for grant money, and a resolution that would approve an application by the First United Methodist Church for a commercial revitalization rebate program grant.

Ginny Munroe will present discussion on One Marshall County, and a Memorandum of Understanding will be presented for the Plymouth School Corporation’s Building Trades Program.

Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street.
