Culver Town Council to Meet Tonight

The Culver Town Council members will meet tonight where they will hold a public hearing concerning the rezoning of certain property on State Road 10 and State Road 17 from PUD to Suburban Residential or S1.  The first reading of an ordinance that would approve that rezoning would be considered following the public hearing.

Another public hearing is scheduled that concerns the READI Grant. According to the public notice, a Subgrant Agreement will be reviewed during the public hearing where the Town of Culver would receive $1.3 million to increase growth and economic opportunity by offering a grant to assist in the development of a mixed variety of housing along Culver’s South Main Street. READI funds will be used for sewer, water, and other town infrastructure construction with the requirement that public matching funds will be provided by the Culver Redevelopment Commission.

The Culver Town Council will also receive a Dunes update and consider an ordiance to amend the salary ordinance.  Pier slip fees will be discussed, and a Visitor Center update will be given as well as an Economic Development Commission.

Department heads will give reports as necessary. 

The Culver Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Culver Town Hall at 200 E. Washington Street.
