The Plymouth Park Department was recently awarded a grant to extend the Greenways Trail.
Park Superintendent Michael Hite told the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety that the grant extends the trail to Price’s Pond. It picks up at Plymouth-Goshen Trail, crossing the ditch to the area of Price’s Pond.
The park was awarded a $400,000 Indiana Trail Program grant administrated through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for this project.
Hite noted that this was a competitive grant. Out of the 12 applicants for the grant, Plymouth was one of five chosen to receive funding.
