Marshall County Council Talks Budget

The Marshall County Council discussed the 2024 Budget. President Jesse Bohannon recommended an increase of wages by 3% which was the recommended amount for the 2024 budget for the rest of the County, $10,000 for Legal Services, and $10,000 for Professional Services.

Nothing will be reserved in 2024 for the Courthouse Project. $200,000 will remain budgeted for Other Projects which is the fund that the Council has relied upon for additional support of Highway Projects. Councilwoman Nicole Cox suggested an increase to Travel / Mileage to accommodate necessary training; Bohannon recommended an increase of $500 to $1500. All other line items remained the same. The Council approved the changes to submit the Council Budget for 2024.
