Two candidates have withdrawn from the General Election ballot in Marshall County.
Brian Bartlett has withdrawn as a candidate for Plymouth City Council At-Large on the Republican ticket, while Incumbent Republican Ward Byers has decided not to seek another term on the Bourbon Town Council.
Byers stated in a press release that he has chosen to leave his seat on the Bourbon Town Council when his term ends December 31, 2023. He cited personal and professional reasons for his decision.
Bartlett’s decision to leave the race leaves Brandon Richie as the lone Republican candidate on the ballot for the seat. He faces three Democrat candidates for three available seats in the General Election.
