Suspected Reckless Driver Complaint Leads to Arrest of Texas Man

A Houston, Texas man was arrested by a Plymouth Police Department officer after the  Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center received a call of a suspected reckless driver traveling east on U.S. 30 approaching Plymouth during the evening hours of Wednesday, May 17. 

The caller was following the vehicle as it traveled south on Oak Road before turning east on Pidco Drive.  The vehicle, described as a 2023 Jeep Wrangler, then went south on the railroad tracks that parallel Broadway Street. 

A Plymouth Police Department officer caught up to the vehicle in the area of Broadway and Harrison Street, according to the report. Police say the driver was identified as 67-year-old Alan Glombicki and was investigated for operating the vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit. 

Glombicki was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating while intoxicated-endangering, operating while intoxicated over .15, and driving on the right-of-way of railroad property. 

The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office will determine formal charges.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
