Plymouth Police Department Make Arrests in Three Separate Cases

Officers from the Plymouth Police Department have made several arrests in recent incidents.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on North Walnut Street in reference to a domestic dispute Sunday, May 21.  Upon investigation, it was reportedly found that a domestic battery had occurred between the suspect, 26-year-old Ana Hernandez of Plymouth, and a juvenile.

Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation.

In a separate incident, officers and Plymouth EMS were called to the 1300 block of Holloway Drive Monday, May 22 just before 6 a.m. ET on a report of a domestic battery incident where 48-year-old Melissa Barnes of Plymouth allegedly threw a cell phone at a male victim causing injuries. 

Barnes was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. 

Additionally, 23-year-old Marty Lumpkin of South Bend was arrested at Love’s Truck Stop Monday, May 22 at 11:45 a.m. ET after police learned he was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear. 

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
