Triton School Board Discusses Office Renovations

Renovations of the Elementary School and High School offices are planned at the Triton Community School Corporation.

Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said the board approved a quote from S&K Construction for the work.

Riffle commented, “At the Elementary School, we’re redoing the entryway so it’s more of a line-of-sight for individuals that are coming into that office.”

The quote to do the work at the Elementary School was $13,676.

The High School Office will see a little more work at a cost of $55,000.

“At the High School, we’re renovating the offices in the front office because we added an assistant principal at the High School so right now that office is pretty small.  We’re just making those areas larger, putting a divide in the front office so there’s a little more privacy in the back where the nurse’s office is and where his office is, but then also adding a conference room to Mr. McKeand’s office for case conferences and/or parent meetings,” said Riffle.

In other news, the board heard from Marshall County Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Andrew Fitzpatrick who discussed the program with the Triton School Board members and the possibility of bringing the program to Bourbon.
