Plymouth Redevelopment Commission Holds Public Hearing on Economic Development Plan

The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members opened a public hearing Tuesday night to take comments on the proposed amendment to the U.S. 30/Pine Road Economic Development Plan in TIF #3 District.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said the amendment pertains to further developments planned by PIDCO within the TIF #3 District. The proposal will include a portion of TIF revenues generated from Plymouth Molding Group building which is anticipated to be about $60,000.

Marshall County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Greg Hildebrand commented that this is in lieu of a tax abatement which would help PIDCO initiatives.  The funds would be collected and returned.

There were no other comments from the public.

The commission members were then presented with a confirmatory resolution that pertains to formal action on the amendment which was approved with a unanimous vote.
