Argos Community School Board Discusses Extra-Curricular Compensation, Classified Staff Wage Increase

The Argos Community School Board separately considered an extra-curricular compensation schedule and Classified staff wage increase Monday night.

Superintendent Ned Speicher said the extra-curricular compensation schedule for clubs and coaches was approved for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years.

“That included a three percent raise for our extra-curriculars,” said Speicher.

Speicher said the board also approved a Classified staff wage increase for the 2023-2024 school year.

“We approved a new classification for all of our hourly employees that will be effective July 1. That was a two to three percent raise based on their evaluations.”

Additionally, the Argos School Board approved a resolution to withdraw from the JESSE Cooperative effective July 1, 2024.  Speicher noted the nine school corporations are reorganizing.
