Replica of Old Train Station Pergola in Bourbon to Be Demolished March 13

The replica of the old train station pergola outside the Bourbon Town Offices will be demolished March 13.

The pergola was constructed in 1999, but support beams of the structure have extreme rot and have created a safety concern.  According to town officials, the structure is leaning against the Town Office building creating a hazard to pedestrians, vehicle traffic, and the building itself.

When the demolition occurs Park Avenue will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Main Street to Washington Street. The Bourbon Clerk-Treasurer’s Office will also be closed.
