Culver Community School Board Considers Environmental Bids, Approves Summer School Programs

The Culver Community School Board reviewed environmental bids during their meeting last week.

Superintendent Karen Shuman explained that are some environmental issues in the old flooring that need to be addressed in the band and choir rooms prior to the start of construction this summer.  The environmental work is expected to be done during Spring Break.

The board approved a bid from Specialty Systems of South Bend for $33,480 and one from ACM Environmental Services for air sampling in the amount of $6,970.

Additionally, the board approved Summer School programs for this year. Shuman stated that there will be Band, FFA and IREAD classes in the month of June.  The Summer School offerings are limited this year due to the upcoming construction projects, according to Shuman.
