Culver Town Council to Interview Candidates for Open Positions on Boards and Commissions

The Culver Town Council members will be conducting interviews next week of applicants for certain board and commission seats appointed by the council.

Councilman Rich West suggested that the interviews take place as there are new applicants that are seeking appointment. The interviews will give the council a chance to meet the applicants so they can choose the candidate that best fits the board or commission seat.

The application process is now open again.  There is one seat open on the Plan Commission, one seat on the Board of Zoning Appeals, five Redevelopment Commission seats, two Tree Commission seats, and one Library Board member.

Applicants must be at least a one-year resident of the Town of Culver. Applications can be returned to Culver Town Hall at 200 E. Washington Street or by email to kheim@townofculver.org.

The deadline to apply is Monday, January 16 at 4 p.m. ET.  Town Hall will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Day, but printed applications may be left in the drop box in the police lobby.

Appointments will be approved during the council’s next meeting Tuesday, January 24.
