Argos Community School Board Discusses Purchase of HVAC Equipment

The Argos Community School Board reviewed the purchase of HVAC equipment during their Monday night meeting.

Superintendent Ned Speicher said the equipment will replace 20-year-old heating and air conditioning rooftop units.

Speicher stated, “The low bid was Ideal Construction Company and the bid was for $648,856 for that project. Those units will have to be manufactured and then they’ll probably be put on the roofs this summer when we get them manufactured and when there aren’t students in the buildings because it’ll take a crane to lift them on the roofs and replace the old ones.”

The board approved the low bid from Ideal Construction Company.  Speicher commented that the bids were under the estimate for this project.
