Four Marshall County Council members were honored during the most recent Marshall County Council meeting for their years of service to the county in this capacity.
Council member Jim Masterson read resolutions into the record that listed the accomplishments and contributions of the outgoing council members gave to the county.
Heath Thornton served as a councilman began serving the council October 21, 2015, Mandy Campbell served as councilwoman began serving the council January 1, 2019 and served as vice president for one year and president for one year, Jon VanVactor served as councilman for 10 years and also previously served as sheriff, and Steve Harper served as a councilman for six years.
As read by Masterson, the council members have served the county with distinction and leave office December 31 of this year.
All resolutions were approved with a unanimous vote.
