The Culver Town Council members will meet tonight where member Rich West will discuss Blue Zones. The members voted 3-2 during their last meeting to remove the first year of funding for Blue Zones as the town’s match if it was selected for READI grant funding.
The council will also consider the final reading of the 2023 Salary Ordinance, and review contracts with Surf, Marshall County Economic Development Corporation, and Culver Visitor Center.
A year-end resolution to transfer funds within departments will be up for approval.
A discussion will be held on the next steps on the search for a new town manager and building commissioner following Town Manager Ginny Bess Munroe’s recent resignation announcement. She has also been serving as the building commissioner on an interim basis.
Munroe will deliver her regular report to the council, as well as Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim and Town Attorney Jim Clevenger. The department heads will provide updates as necessary.
The Culver Town Council will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Culver Town Hall at 200 E. Washington Street.
