The Culver Town Council reviewed the 2023 Salary Ordinance during their recent meeting.
Culver Town Council President Bill Githens said that the salaries were considered based on departments and fair and equitable with other departments of similar size in the county. Wage increases were not given a certain percentage across the board.
Town Attorney Jim Clevenger asked if the council considered inflation and identifying employee retention when negotiating increases. Githens noted that both topics were discussed when drafting the ordinance in several work sessions.

The council approved the first reading of the ordinance during their last meeting. They will discuss it further and consider additional readings during their December 13 meeting.
